Author's POV

"Take care of your brothers, baby. We'll be back soon," said a beautiful lady, her smile warm as she cupped her son's face gently.

"Mom, don't go! I'll come with you!" the 18-year-old boy, protested, his voice full of concern.

"No, Ruvi. Your father and I need to pick up Grandma, remember?" the lady said soothingly, her hand still on his cheek. "You stay here and take care of Dadu and your brothers. We'll be back soon."

"Your mom's right, Ruvi," a man said, walking toward his son with a reassuring smile. "We'll be back before you know it."

"Okay, take care. Come, Vani, let's go," Dhruv's father, Ajay said, grabbing the car keys.

Both Ajay and Vani walked towards the door, and just as they were about to step into the car, everything turned black. The sound of an ambulance siren pierced the air. Ruvi ran toward them, but no matter how fast he moved, he couldn't see them—everything was fading.

"Mom... Dad... no, no..." Ruvi cried out desperately, but the world around him spun, and he suddenly woke up in a cold sweat. His breath came in short gasps, his heart racing. He looked around disoriented, realizing he was in his own room. The clock on the nightstand showed 3:30 AM.

Ruvi rubbed his face and walked to the washroom, trying to shake off the nightmare that had haunted him.

Yes, this boy is our Dhruv Ajay Raghuvanshi—the eldest son, the one who tries his best to keep his brothers from feeling the absence of their parents. But inside, he suffers too....Every day!!

Meanwhile, in Delhi, a young woman with waist-length wavy black hair was rushing to get ready. She wore a simple kaftan suit, and though she was a little curvy, her beauty was undeniable. She was panicking as she realized she was running late for work. A quick swipe of kajal, mascara, and lip balm, and she was almost ready.

"Pihu! Come on, it's getting late!" her mother yelled from the living room.

"Coming, Mumma!" Pihu called back, her voice full of urgency.

She hurried out, finishing her morning puja, and rushed to the dining table.

"What am I going to do with you, Pihu? Why can't you wake up early?" her mother scolded, serving her breakfast with a smile.

"Mumma, mera hogaya, mai ja rahi hu, bye!" Pihu said quickly, swallowing her last bite and darting toward the door. "(Mumma, I'm done, I'm going. Bye!)"

She reached her cafe just in time, greeted her staff with a smile, and started her day.

Back at the Raghuvanshi villa,

the breakfast table was filled with men—Dhruv, Yuvaan, Ayaan, and their grandfather, Rajendra Raghuvanshi. The staff was busy serving them their breakfast, but Yuvaan seemed lost in thought, toying with his food.

"Yuvaan, why are you so quiet today? Is something wrong?" Rajendra asked, his voice filled with concern. Dhruv and Ayaan glanced at Yuvaan, noticing his strange silence.

"Yuvaan, today you seem awfully quiet. Did something happen?" Rajendra asked again, his eyes narrowing in concern.

"No, no, Dadu. I'm just not hungry," Yuvaan replied with a weak smile, trying to brush it off.

"Are you sure, Yuv? You can tell me anything," Dhruv said, his voice calm but filled with worry. He glanced at Yuvaan with concern.

"Yes, Bhaiya, I'm just thinking about some assignments," Yuvaan replied with a forced smile, trying to act normal.

"Don't stress, kid. Your college just started; there's no need to worry. If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask. And you too, Ayaan. If you need help at school, just let me know," Dhruv said, his tone kind but firm.

"ji bhaiya, Everything's fine at school," Ayaan replied, flashing a reassuring smile.

" Dadu apki medicine hum le aaye the apke room me hai Time par lijiyega hume aj late ho jayega aane me meeting hai America wale client ke saath " Dhruv said as he wiped his hands with a paper napkin.

"(Grandfather, I've brought your medicine. It's in your room. Please take it on time, and don't worry about me today. I have a meeting with the American clients and might be late)"

"Dhruv ap kisi aur se keh dete aapko pareshan hone ki jarurat nahin hai staff hai ghar mein aap aaram se meeting khatm kariye." Rajendra said with a calm smile, not wanting Dhruv to feel burdened.

"(Dhruv, you could have asked anyone to bring it. You don't need to trouble yourself. Go ahead, finish your meeting comfortably)"

"Dadu humari family ki chinta hum nahi karenge to kon karega, acha hum chalte hai come yuv and Ayaan I'll drop you"Dhruv said, flashing a warm smile as he stood up.

"(Dadu, if I don't take care of the family, who will? Come on, Yuv, Ayaan, I'll drop you both off)"

"No, Bhaiya, you go. I'll drop Ayaan," Yuvaan said quickly, insisting.

" Are you sure? yuv main kardunga drop tumhe " Dhruv asked, still concerned.

"(Are you sure, Yuv? I'll drop you)"

"It's okay, Bhaiya, you go. You'll be late for your meeting," Yuvaan said with a gentle smile, his eyes filled with understanding.

"Alright, as you say. Pranam, Dadu. Bye, Yuv. Take care, Ayaan. See you both later!" Dhruv said, touching his grandfather's feet and kissing yuvaan's and Ayaan's head before grabbing his car keys.

Meanwhile, Yuvaan and Ayaan, after bidding their grandfather goodbye, left for their respective destinations.

" Bhaiya ap theek ho pkka? "Ayaan asked, his voice laced with worry as he noticed Yuvaan's distant expression.

"(Are you sure you're okay, Bhaiya?)"

" Han ayu sab theek hai tu tension mat le or ache se dhyan de exams aa rhe hai na koi problem ho to call kardena ok"Yuvaan replied with a smile, but there was a hint of concern in his eyes. He stopped the car in front of Ayaan's school.

"(Yes, Ayu, everything's fine. Don't worry. Focus on your exams, and if you need anything, just call me, okay?)"

"Okay, Bhaiya. Take care! Bye!" Ayaan said, adjusting his bag and stepping out of the car.

"Bye, Ayu. Take care," Yuvaan waved as he drove off to university.

Later that afternoon, as the sun began to set, casting a beautiful orange hue across the sky, Pihu had finished her work early and decided to meet her friend Ishani. Just as she was about to leave, she heard a commotion from outside her cafe. Curiosity piqued, she stepped out to see what was going on.

A young man was surrounded by a girl and a boy on a bike, who were shouting at him. The boy in the middle of the scene looked distressed, his body language betraying his panic.

"Uncle, what's happening? Why are they yelling so much?" Pihu asked, her brow furrowed in concern as she turned to a local shopkeeper standing nearby.

"Nothing, beta. The boy was just getting into his car after buying something from my shop. Suddenly, these people came out of nowhere, fell in front of his car, and now they're accusing him of hitting their bike," the shopkeeper explained with a pitying look toward the boy. "They're saying they have high contacts, and no one wants to get involved."

Pihu shook her head in disbelief. "Why isn't anyone helping him?"

"They're too scared to intervene, beta. But the boy... he looks like he comes from a good family," the shopkeeper said, his eyes filled with sympathy.

Pihu's jaw tightened with frustration. She couldn't stand by and watch the injustice. Without a second thought, she walked toward the scene.

"Excuse me, stop it, please. Why are you behaving like this?" Pihu said, stepping in front of the boy, her eyebrows knitting together as she addressed the girl and boy on the bike, her voice calm but firm.

The boy behind her turned, his eyes widening in shock as he looked at her. For a moment, everything seemed to stop.

Pihu stood there, facing the chaos, but in that moment, the world seemed to stand still—just the two of them, in an unexpected encounter that would change everything.
